scallops Baked Scallops - I love seafood recipes that involve baking! I find that when the scallops are basting in the fluids, they absorb all the flavor and richness, making for a truely delightful dish.

Ingredients to make Baked Scallops

1 1/2 pound sea scallops, cut in half

1/2 tablespoon salt

1/2 tablespoon pepper

1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 cup bread crumbs

1 egg

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 cup margarine, melted

Directions to make Baked Scallops

Step 1:Mix dry ingredients together. Beat egg and milk together.
Step 2:Dip scallops in crumb mixture, egg mixture, and again in crumbs.
Step 3:Place dipped scallops in roasting pan and drizzle melted margarine over all.
Step 4:Bake at 450 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
